We cherish our Hungarian heritage and traditions while we are equally proud to be Americans, Europeans, and citizens of the world community. Our Planning Committee, including <strong><b>Etu <\/b><b>Alapi<\/b><b>, <\/b><b>Dr.<\/b> <b>Ildik\u00f3<\/b> <b>Kondray<\/b><b>, <\/b><b>Panni<\/b> <b>Lud\u00e1nyi<\/b><b>, <\/b><b>Gabriella<\/b> <b>N\u00e1das<\/b><b>, <\/b><b>Ildik\u00f3<\/b> <b>Peller<\/b><b>, <\/b><b>Dr.<\/b> <b>M\u00e1rta<\/b> <b>Pereszl\u00e9nyi<\/b><b>, <\/b><b>L\u00e9l<\/b> <b>Somogyi<\/b><\/strong>, and myself, has been hard at work to organize a Hungarian Congress which will appeal to Hungarians old and young, traditional and modern in thinking.<\/p>\n<p>Our special guest, <strong><b>Major General Robert Iv\u00e1nyi<\/b><\/strong>, personally highlights the ongoing transition of Hungarians in America. His career has taken him from being a renowned football star on the Cleveland St. Ignatius H.S. 1965 city championship team to being the Commandant of the U.S. Army War College. He will be our keynote <strong><b>Luncheon Speaker<\/b><\/strong> on Saturday, November 30, addressing us on the timely topic of the Global War on Terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>Our Friday night <strong><em><b><i>Literary and Performing Arts Program<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong> will highlight <strong><b>Ern\u00f6 T\u00e1las<\/b><\/strong>, the internationally renowned Tenor of the Royal Swedish Opera; <strong><b>Judith Neszl\u00e9nyi<\/b><\/strong>, a Liszt Medal recipient concert pianist and composer from Pasadena, California; distinguished pianist<strong><b>Mariann \u00c1brah\u00e1m <\/b><\/strong>from Budapest; multi-talented <strong><b>Gabriella Lendvay <\/b><\/strong>from Philadelphia, the always entertaining and instructive Reverend <strong><b>Istv\u00e1n Mustos <\/b><\/strong>from Passaic; the very popular <strong><b>Mikl\u00f3s Peller <\/b><\/strong>of Cleveland; dynamic and moving <strong><b>\u00c9va M\u00e9cs <\/b><\/strong>from Pittsburgh; and hosted by sparkling and talented <strong><b>Ildik\u00f3 Peller<\/b><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Our gala of <strong><em><b><i>Fine Art Galleries<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong> will showcase exemplary works by <strong><b>Gy\u00f6rgy<\/b> <b>Kozmon<\/b><b>, <\/b><b>Imre<\/b> <b>Bog\u00e1rdy<\/b><b>, Andr\u00e1s and <\/b><b>Magdi<\/b> <b>Temesv\u00e1ri<\/b><\/strong>, and <strong><b>Gy\u00f6rgy<\/b> <b>B\u00faza<\/b><\/strong>. Our <strong><em><b><i>Hungarian Association Bookstore<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong> will feature classical and modern Hungarian literature. We will have a special <strong><em><b><i>Style Show and Exhibition<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong> of exquisite Hungarian garments and finery. On Saturday our culinary experts will provide instruction on <strong><em><b><i>Hungarian Cooking.<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The heart of our program is the ongoing lecture series taking place from Friday through Sunday.
