Dr. Andrew Lud\u00e1nyi is Professor of Political Science at
\nOhio Northern University in Ada, Ohio, and his primary
\nresponsibility in the subfields of Comparative Politics and
\nInternational Relations. His research has focused on
\ninterethnic and inter-nationality relations in East Central
\nEurope, with particular attention to developments in the
\nTransylvanian region of Romania and the Vojvodina region
\nof northern Yugoslavia \/ Serbia. More recently he has also
\nstudied and written policy papers on the Russian-Chechen
\nconflict of the past two decades. He has published
\nnumerous articles and reviews and edited three books in his
\nresearch area, including studies on nationalities policies in
\nTitoist and post-Titoist Yugoslavia as well as in
\nCeausescu\u2019s Romania, such as Transylvania: The Roots of
\nEthnic Conflict (1983), Hungary and Hungarian
\nMinorities\u201d (1996), The Fate of Magyars in Vojvodina
\n(2002), and Historiography in Transylvania (2004).
