He arrived in America in the summer of 1956 and joined the Hungarian Scout Association in Exteris that September. He carried out his scout leadership work within the Garfield Troop No. 6 Gábor Áron Scout Troop, in leadership training camps, and at headquarters. For the last thirty-two years, he has served first as Executive President (1993-97) and then as President (1997-25). He was the commander of the 1995 HSAE Jubilee Grand Camp.

His objectives include encouraging every Hungarian-speaking youth living in the West to try scouting. He considers the further development of the Association (leadership training, support materials, updated trial systems, etc.) important for successful long-term youth education work. He aims to make the advantages of the worldwide organization (connections, friendships, experiences) available to all scouts through more intensive exchange activities. He also considers it important to further strengthen the fundamental pillars of scout work (character building, Hungarian identity, and service).

He served as the President of the Forum of Hungarian Scout Associations from 2008-2011 and since 2013. He has led the Forum’s last four officer training courses.

He holds degrees in Metallurgical Engineering (Bachelor’s and Master’s).
