Dr. F\u00fclemile \u00c1gnes tanulm\u00e1nyait m\u0171v\u00e9szett\u00f6rt\u00e9net, t\u00f6rt\u00e9nelem, n\u00e9prajz szakon folytatta az ELTE-n. Ez ut\u00f3bbib\u00f3l 1997-ben PhD-fokozatot szerzett. Az egyetem befejez\u00e9se \u00f3ta az MTA N\u00e9prajzi Kutat\u00f3 Int\u00e9zet\u00e9nek munkat\u00e1rsa lett. Sz\u00e1mos magyarorsz\u00e1gi \u00e9s erd\u00e9lyi faluban v\u00e9gzett terepmunk\u00e1t. 1990 \u00e9s 2006 k\u00f6z\u00f6tt a University of California Education Abroad Programj\u00e1n tan\u00edtott amerikai hallgat\u00f3kat az ELTE-n \u00e9s 1991 \u00e9s 2011 k\u00f6z\u00f6tt a Council on International Educational Exchange Education Abroad Programon a Corvinus Egyetemen.
\n1992-ben \u00e9s 1993-ban Fulbright-\u00f6szt\u00f6nd\u00edjask\u00e9nt a University of California Berkeley antropol\u00f3gia tansz\u00e9k\u00e9n \u00e9s a New York-i Metropolitan Museum of Arts Costume Int\u00e9zet\u00e9ben kutatott. 1997-ben a University of London Courtauld Institute History of Dress tansz\u00e9k\u00e9n szerzett M.Phil fokozatot. 1999-ben egy szemesztert tan\u00edtott a Rutgers University Hungarian Studies programj\u00e1n. 2006-t\u00f3l 2009-ig 3 \u00e9vig oktatott Hungarian Chair Professor min\u0151s\u00e9gben az Indiana University Bloomington Hungarian Studies Programj\u00e1n. 1991-ben az MTA Akad\u00e9miai Ifj\u00fas\u00e1gi d\u00edjat, 1994-ben Jank\u00f3 J\u00e1nos-d\u00edjat kapott, 2003-2006-ban Bolyai J\u00e1nos Kutat\u00f3 \u00d6szt\u00f6nd\u00edjban r\u00e9szes\u00fclt. 2012. janu\u00e1rj\u00e1t\u00f3l a New York-i Magyar Int\u00e9zet igazgat\u00f3jak\u00e9nt az USA-ban tart\u00f3zkodik.<\/p>\n
