Her field of research is\u00a0\u201cThe ethnic identity and assimilation patterns of secondgeneration\u00a0Hungarian-Americans in the city of New Brunswick,\u00a0New Jersey.\u201d Previously, she studied at the University of\u00a0Debrecen, Doctoral School of Literature (2006-2012) and holds\u00a0a Pre-degree certificate (ABD).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At Debrecen, her field of research centered on \u201cHungarian-American immigrant studies, the Hungarian-American immigrant\u00a0experience from the early 20th century.\u201d She also completed her\u00a0MA degree at the University of Debrecen (2006) where she was\u00a0a teaching and administrative assistant, a qualified teacher of\u00a0English language and literature, and manager of andragogy\u00a0(adult education) management. Her MA thesis title was \u201cFrom\u00a0Consecration to Gambling: The Changing Role of Hungarian-American Churches before World War II.\u201d\u00a0While pursuing her doctoral degree, Ms. Ol\u00e1h also worked at\u00a0NI Hungary Ltd. in Debrecen, Hungary (2006-present where she\u00a0currently on leave) as an IT management coordinator, and was\u00a0responsible for the hiring, training, and event organization in an\u00a0IT Department of over 100 employees. While an undergrad\u00a0student, she was a member of numerous professional\u00a0organizations including the Talent Management Program of the\u00a0University of Debrecen, as well as her work with conferences and\u00a0lectures at the Istv\u00e1n Hatvani College, University of Debrecen.\u00a0She is currently a member of the Hungarian Association for\u00a0American Studies (HAAS) and the Hungarian Society for the\u00a0Study of English (HUSSE).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Among her academic honors, in 2005-2006 she was the\u00a0recipient of a Fellowship granted by the Republic of Hungary for\u00a0studies at the University of Debrecen, and she also won first\u00a0place for her presentation at the 27th Conference of Scientific\u00a0Students\u2019 Association (OTDK), Church History.\u00a0Her publications include \u201cFrom Consecration to Gambling: The\u00a0Changing Role of Hungarian-American Churches before World\u00a0War II\u201d (MA thesis), in Juvenilia I., edited by Zolt\u00e1n Kov\u00e1cs and\u00a0P\u00e9ter Szir\u00e1k, Debrecen: Kossuth Egyetemi Kiad\u00f3, 2006; as well\u00a0as \u201cA templomszentel\u00e9st\u0151l a szerencsej\u00e1t\u00e9kokig: Az amerikai\u00a0magyar egyh\u00e1zak feladatai a II. vil\u00e1gh\u00e1bor\u00fa el\u0151tt,\u201d in\u00a0S\u00e1rospataki F\u00fczetek no. 2 (2005): 91-103; as well as \u201cLost\u00a0Generation: Second Generation Hungarian-American Identity in\u00a0the 1930s,\u201d in Vasv\u00e1ry Collection Newsletter 41, no.1 (2011)\u00a0<a title=\"https:\/\/www.skszeged.hu\/statikus_html\/vasvary\/newsletter\/11jun\/tartalom.html\" href=\"https:\/\/www.skszeged.hu\/statikus_html\/vasvary\/newsletter\/11jun\/tartalom.html\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.skszeged.hu\/statikus_html\/vasvary\/newsletter\/11jun\/tartalom.html<\/a> and\u00a0finally \u201cDouble Exile.\u201d Review of Double Exile. Migrations of Jewish-Hungarian Professionals through Germany to the United States, 1919-1945 by Tibor Frank which appeared in Hungarian Journal of English and American Studies XVII., no. 2.
