Dr. Zsolt PÁVA – “The arrival of the Swabians in Hungary in the 18th century”

Zsolt Páva, born in Pécs, Hungary. He graduated at the Law School of Pécs University. After the collapse of communism he has involved in local politics. Used to be the mayor of City of Pécs (pop:150.000) for
four terms, altogether 14 years. In 2019 he has quit as a mayor. Since May, 2021 he works at the Consulate General of Hungary in Chicago. He will be presenting in Hungarian “The arrival of the Swabians in Hungary in the 18th century” The resettlement of Hungary after the Turkish wars, primarily the appearance of the “Swabians” in the country awaiting reconstruction, which was certainly a “new
beginning” at that time.
