Taste of Budapest – Hungarian Theater Show by Pilvax Players Theater

Stories, songs and scenes in Budapest from the Jazz Age till now

pilvax-1The Hungarian Association and the Pilvax Hungarian-American Players Theatre Company cordially invites everyone for a musical time-travel voyage. Your trip will take you from the birth of the Hungarian language theatre to our present day, with savory samples from well-known musicals and melodies by successful composers. You will see and hear catchy hits from the 1920sand 30’s that will reverberate in your ears, you will relive the realm of Ferenc Molnár’s Budapest world, connect with those Jazz Age variety show stars yearning for Parisian cabaret nights, recall the challenging comedy skits of Hacsek and Sajó, remember those hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s that will be jam-packed with nostalgia, and then experience the images of modern-day critiques of society from the theatres of [Buda]-Pest all the way to our musicals-dominated world of today.
