Artistic and Literary Program
Viktória Vizin
Viktória Vizin will perform during the Friday evening Artistic and Literary program, a traditional event and part of the Hungarian Congress. A native of Kecskemét (Hungary), she studied at the Franz Liszt Conservatory in Szeged. She won the International Singing Competition ‘Nicolac Bretan’ in Kolozsvár/Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 1996, where she also made her debut as Rosnia Il Barbiere di Siviglia. In the same year Miss Vizin received a scholarship to further her vocal studies and in 2001 she completed her Master’s and Ph.D. in Romania. She went on to win second prize at the International Singing Competition of Budapest, in 1997 with a special prize as best Hungarian paricipant.
Viktoria Vizin made her debut at the Vienna Staatsoper in 1999, and thereafter she has sung major roles in all the foremost opera houses in Europe and North America. Her record of accomplishments, too numerous to mention here, can be found on her official website: https://www.viktoriavizin.com
