Commemorating 1956
The Hungarian Association of Cleveland commemorated the 60th Anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 with an exhibit at John Carroll University Grasselli Library.
The exhibit opening included greetings by the association president Dr. John Nadas, JCU alumni dr. Andrea Meszaros, Dr. August Pust, former Director of Multicultural Affairs & International Relations in the Governor’s Office, State of Ohio, our host dr. Martha Pereszlenyi Pinter and a speech by 1956-er Mr. Miklos Peller. The extended family of Mr. Geroge G. Szeretvai came to honor their father and grandfather as a young 17 year old 56-er. The opening was followed by a reception and the showing of two films: “Play your Own Game 1956 and Freedom Dance. The exhibit will remain open till October 30-th.
